It didn't cost the tax payers a dime, Dave Nugent offered the schooling to the sherrif's dept free of charge. Norbert has instructed this driver before and also informed the driver that the car was missfiring at the NCM event earlier this year. to date the car has ticketed more cars than any of the other depts vehicles. People apparently want to fly by a vette!!!
We all know there is much more to a weekend of track expenses than the entry fee. Also, there is nothing a crown vic can't do that any officer should be doing on public roads.
Bernie, would you care to let them confiscate one of your vettes since apparently they increase the amount of revenue the gov can bring in?
Your missing the point, it's not the cars capability, it's the anonimity presented by a corvette. A car that no one believes would be a police car. And crown vic's are notorious for being the car of choice for police depts. Hell I slow down everytime I see one, even if I'm not speeding.and I'm sure by the number of tickets he writes that they more than pay for the track time wear and tear on the tires and brakes etc.
They didn't randomly confiscate the car either, it was part of a drug dealers collection of tools. If I was dealing drugs they could take my vettes also... but then I'd have the money to buy new ones anyway
