Anyone have any good Windows Mobile 6.1 apps worth trying out? Or is everyone on here a Iphone snob?

Google Maps
Pandora (works amazingly well)
FeedMe (for podcasts)
Opera Mini (haven't gotten it working yet as I need some Java stuff on my Q9c)
Google Sync (got my phone contacts syncing with Gmail)
If you have GPS and Sprint -- Sprint Nav works really well. If not there are several good ones available for pay or to steal from bittorrent.

Everything else I need I seem to be able to get through a browser (Gmail, Gcalendar, GDocs)

I'm still trying to find a good app to get Google Talk working on my Q9c ... any suggestions would be grand.

I'm interested in hearing what else is good for WM6.1 also. I'm too cheap for the iPhone plans -- I'm at less than 1/2 price what the equivalent would cost on ATT. That adds up to over $600 a year.

Poynt works well for me for finding movie times/locations, restaurants, businesses, etc.

ive got the htc touch pro. running touch pro 2 rom on it. much faster than the stock rom.

ive got:

RunGPS- use this for tracking my running routes - it costs $, but there is free trial

hTorch-turns phone into most expensive flashlight. haha- free

gPC Car edition (i think its the gmeter)-ive used it like once. its hard to use with 1 person since youve got to hold it steady (unless you drive an automatic). ive been trying to get a mount for it. but from what ive gathered.it may be a bit accurate. costs $

google maps latest edition, where it has an arrow so you can see which direction you're in-makes life easier. Free

Galarm- a lot of smart phones have dumb alarms. this G-alarm is really cool. i can wake up to music and what not. Free

Skype- not really a cool program, but i used it while my GF was in italy, I didnt have to be at a computer to use it, it used sprint service to connect. really neat. Free

Advanced Config- lets you customize some stuff. Free

Skyfire isnt bad, im not use to it since i use oppera all the time.

Juggalo_X slide to answer- neat app so you dont accidentally answer phone calls in your pocket

MobileRemote- cost $, i bought it with the intention of using it as a bluetooth keyboard for my PS3 and also other things to mess with people, and I think as a remote for the TV (not sure if that was an option). but I couldnt get it to work so i deleted it.

Webcamera plus- makes your phone a webcam. works here and there. when it works its cool. I just cant seem to get it to work EVERYTIME. free trial, but cost $ after a few days.

np.

An app I'd like to see on a WM6 is Resturant Rollette. it finds all the resturants near you and then spins a wheel to pick one. I saw it on iPhone.

ok,
found a very cool app.

www.racechrono.com

Track data system that can handle up to 5Hz updates and the software isn't bad.

Turns the phone into a lap timer with realtime updates, etc.

It also exports to the Voodoo, G2X, and Performance Box systems. I am asking the Author about have updates to Traqmate as well.

I've been using RaceChrono for about a year now on a inactive Nokia N75 (Symbian OS). I've found it to be very accurate in lap times and segment times as long as you split in areas without sudden change. I suspect this is the case with many GPS based applications. My GPS receiver is only 1hz so as you can imagine the data in braking zones and turns is pretty rough (sometimes too slow or fast for me to think it accurate in those areas). I'd love try a 5hz receiver to see how much better it is, but the segment data has been accurate to the tenth with the on board video.

And with there is the video app that will let you overlay your lapdata onto your onboard video. I do not have an accelerometer so I have not tried that.

the now recommend a quartx receiver with tri-axle acceleromter. It polls at 5hz and collects data. They also now have OBDII reading so you can get the ecu inputs as well. Pretty nice update. The Receiver is only $65 bucks.

A Smart phone with a touch screen also seems to make a nice dash readout and update.
