Well folks, it's GO time for me.

In a few weeks, I will be driving my little yellow car to California, to join a cool software start-up.

If you want to see me off with one of those monumental parties I love to host, please join me at my place on Saturday May 30.

As usual, bring what you want to drink and/or eat. I will have some seed drinks and snacks as well.

Bring friends and forward this to others I missed on the invite--the more, the merrier!

RSVP via email or PM and I will send directions.

You will be missed! Good luck in the new job and keep autocrossing.

Thank you Walter! I will miss you and all my friends here at the club too.

There is plenty of autocross opportunities in the Bay area, and I definitely will keep killing cones :) Actually, this was one of the first things I checked before accepting the offer :)

Guess I'll have to get really fast very quickly so I can see some of my Tarheels friends at Nationals! LOL!

I'll chime in here as well and say "good luck" on the new job. Hope you enjoy CA. Never been myself, but I hear it's nice. Say hi to Arnold for us. Let us know if you find a local club to run with and compare us to them. Be interesting to know the differences....

No matter what, THSCC will always be my first love :)

At first glance, looks like I'll have to run with SCCA mostly. But I am certain there will be some independent clubs there as well. Seems like they run the year round.

Alex, first of all, congrats on finding a new gig. That's the most important thing.

Anyway, what part of California? I know some folks out that way, and one of them has an AS S2000.

Thanks, that was quite a load off my shoulders. Plus, I can finally get that front sway bar (and re-learn to deal with the yellow beast AGAIN).

The Bay area, Mountain View to be precise. Walking down the street where the company office is like walking down Hollywood Walk of Fame, only for geeks, with all the famous .coms right there.
Do put me in touch with your friends if they're in NorCal, nothing like a bunch of gearheads to make me feel right at home :)

You will certainly be missed around here. The bay area is nice, twisty roads are everywhere.. Work is a funny thing, is'nt it? THSCC will always be open to you should you return! Good luck on your adventures, does the honda have cruise control? you should make some good time across the midwest.
My father used to make that run, in a vw beetle.. in about a week. The weather there is good and cool mostly, though watch out for earthquakes haahah.I have relatives in Waterford CA.. Look for horses.

good luck on your new adventures.. :P

Dood, you have to go to Frankie Johnny and Luigi too. It's the best pizza/itilian food on the planet.

I used to live in San Jose when I was a kid.

Food was amazing there when I flew over to interview. I'll pay Frankie Johnny a visit and say Hello from you :)

Good luck out in CA - with the job and AX!

If you make it up to northern CA, check out my parent's B&B -

Good luck with the new job Alex.

Rebecca and I LOVE the bay area. Specifically SFO. Beautiful area with great food and super nice people. Plus you are only a short hop over to the Sierra Nevadas for some fun mountain driving, a quick jaunt down to Monterey for Laguna Seca and some vintage and pro racing. The PCH is a blast to drive.

I am quite jealous. If we could afford it, we would probably move there tomorrow.

Best of luck with the new job and home Alex. I love the west coast as I am sure you will too.
