So I purchased this 93 G20 a couple days ago and I am trying to get the title notarized. The previous owner signed the title and left it with her uncle who I bought the car from. The problem is no one will notarize the title for me without her being there as well. A lady I work with who is a notary told me to mail the PO the title and let her get it notarized. I would rather not have to do that but I will if I have to since she moved out of state. Can someone help me with this. In NY I never had to deal with getting a title notarized and the other times I bought/sold a car in NC we just met at a bank to exchange money and get the title done. I have a bill of sale and a signed title. Can anyone offer any other advice?

yeah, you might as well mail it to your lady friend. you may be able to work around it at the DMV, like show them a lot of documents and what not.

but i think the easiest way would be to just mail the title to your friend and get it over with. but make sure the dates are the same (i dont think they date their notarys, but just incase)
