i to find the mini cooper s to be quick as hell. i drove one today at carmax. the blower motor is what i would want. torque is good... in what way does one ask for the LSD front end for mini's.. the 05-on are the ones with
the optional LSD. from a mini info site..
http://www.motoringfile.com/mini-r50r53-buyers-guide/

i know i can jack up the front end and turn the front tires, to see manually, but how do i ask about dealers. i know nothing about minis other than they are really fast with the blower.

i may purchase a sentra se-r spec v .. i have been running numbers finaciallly online. and consider hte se-r to be cheaper and more do-able.
perhaps the money leftover could be for springs and exhaust. ha!

Pete, I bet that if you took the VIN number, and called MINI North America Customer Service, they could tell you.

I pretty sure John King's pulls away from my RX-8 on the straights. I MIGHT have a higher terminal speed, but we know how well the Mini handles too. I have not seen many of the Sentras around.

Ditto on checking the vin with the dealer on the LSD. I don't have it and would cost 1200-1800 to retrofit and haven't thought it was worth it. The only place I notice at VIR is coming out of Oaktree and Fishhook, maybe Bitch come to think of it. Autocrossing you are screwed with out it though. Drop in a smaller supercharger pulley and it ads a nice ltittle punch and only cost about $115 dollars.

a friendly reminder... that also puts you in SM. A fact I wish I knew 5 years ago.
But the 20 extra HP @4800 RPM is sweet. That's with a 19% reduction pulley.

This thread reminded me. . .

I'd found some accidental exterior footageof me from VIR-N. And I'd always meant to go find the corresponding in-car from my session.

I didn't take the time to picture in picture, but. . . meh. It's still sort of interesting.

Maybe an ITR in DS.
Or half-assed STX prepped 330.

I nearly rolled on that corner myself.
Good in car footage, although the camera mount is a tad high to be able to see straight ahead. Your supercharger whine isn't as prominent as mine but I suppose some of that as to do with the reduction pulley I have.
Thanks for the post.
