Well, at least one of the 2 cars shows were decent. If you went to the one at the new civic center, I hope you had a better time than I did. I thought it sucked. Poorly done, no flash, no glitz, nothing more than a large car lot.
Now, I went to the one at the fairground today and much better. Nice displays, nice format, handouts and generally a better presentation.
I was finally able to see the new 09 camaro and I must say I was very taken w/ it. Of course it was roped off and locked, which was not to my liking. They had a yellow RS that was great looking. Hat's off to GM for finally coming up with a nice looking car. Everyone has a opinion, but I thought this car presented very well from all angles. Wished I could have sat in it though. For me, I have to check the head room. I have a feeling I'll be in the mustang for a while.
Speaking of mustang, I saw the 2010 and I was underwhelmed. I liked the hood and front well enough, but they lost me on those redesigned tail lights. Not really feeling the change. The also softened up the fenders where they got rid of the hard flair and straighened out the lines. To me it really took away some of the chisiled features of the car. The lines aren't are as eye catching now. Of course it was locked as well. They did redesign the dash which was needed, I just couldn't get a good look at it.
There was a good showing of cars out there, so this show is worth going to if you missed last weekends poor excuse of a car show. BTW, if I had the money, the pewter colored Aston Marter DB9 would be sitting in my garage right now.
