Well, at least one of the 2 cars shows were decent. If you went to the one at the new civic center, I hope you had a better time than I did. I thought it sucked. Poorly done, no flash, no glitz, nothing more than a large car lot.

Now, I went to the one at the fairground today and much better. Nice displays, nice format, handouts and generally a better presentation.

I was finally able to see the new 09 camaro and I must say I was very taken w/ it. Of course it was roped off and locked, which was not to my liking. They had a yellow RS that was great looking. Hat's off to GM for finally coming up with a nice looking car. Everyone has a opinion, but I thought this car presented very well from all angles. Wished I could have sat in it though. For me, I have to check the head room. I have a feeling I'll be in the mustang for a while.

Speaking of mustang, I saw the 2010 and I was underwhelmed. I liked the hood and front well enough, but they lost me on those redesigned tail lights. Not really feeling the change. The also softened up the fenders where they got rid of the hard flair and straighened out the lines. To me it really took away some of the chisiled features of the car. The lines aren't are as eye catching now. Of course it was locked as well. They did redesign the dash which was needed, I just couldn't get a good look at it.

There was a good showing of cars out there, so this show is worth going to if you missed last weekends poor excuse of a car show. BTW, if I had the money, the pewter colored Aston Marter DB9 would be sitting in my garage right now.

I'm trying to sleep off a cold this weekend and probably won't make it to the car show. However, I thought last week's show wasn't bad, as they had the important things - cars - there, and most, including the new 370Z, the Porsches and Maseratis were unlocked so that you could hop in.

Would like to see the new Camaro and Mustangs. I too am a little disappointed in the new Mustang's styling (from pictures I've seen), but my objection is to the crease added at door handle level along the middle of the car. It doesn't quite connect to the hockey-stick shape left over from the 05-09 series. If they wanted to restore the traditional side-scoop shape, they should have just done it. On the positive side, I read that the new front end generates much less high-speed lift, and the GT's suspension is pretty close to that of the '08 Bullitt.

I've always liked them Austin-Martyrs too. I wouldn't mind having a DB7-AR1 in my garage.

I'm with you Rodney. I was disappointed last week also. The best part was being able to sit in every car there. Where else would I be able to sit in a Maserati or an Audi R8?

I was disappointed that Ford and Chevy weren't there.

Not going to be able to go to the show this weekend. Kind of bummed about that.

Interesting article. I didn't think about the fact that most of the vehicles were from leith showrooms. So basically the Convention Center show was the Leith dealerships all under one roof.

Now I really wish I could go to the show today.

I am not going to make it to the Expo this weekend but I went to the show last weekend and thought it wasn't bad. I went to the Expo a few years ago at the Fairgrounds and left horribly disappointed but that might have come from attending the NY International Auto Show for basically my entire life up to that point. I still miss the big auto shows like that where the manufacturers put on the show now dealers.
