Pissed off and Mad about it!!

OK... every now and then, I'll actually hear something on Sirius/XM that I'll actually think would be worth digging into deeper. I had heard this song once before, and heard it again today and thought... damn, now that's kinda cool!

In case you don't know what I'm talking about... go to itunes and search for Texas Hippie Coalition

I know! You're already hooked just from the band name right?! Well... their sound is very familiar, but different enough to not be a rip-off... and it mixes enough different bands to reinforce that feeling. Here's who I "hear" in this band, and I like it!

Pantera
Disturbed
Corrosion of Conformity**
Kilgore

** Heavy on the COC, but without as much "country"

If you like these bands, you MUST give THC a try

LOL ... the more I listen to it, the more I hear less Pantera and still more COC and Kilgore. Also a little Black Label Society.

This may be off topic but the original singer of COC is a friend and neighbor. He helped roof my house!!! He toured all over the world with them for a few years before he was booted from the band. He then started Leadfoot and is now working with the original band members of COC for a reunion, they are planning on playing in March in Wiston-Salem

If there are any fans, I can get autographs :lol:

And yes, he does come over when we have our summer party, with several leadfoot members, for some unplugged sets around the campfire.

then Pepper (old guitar player) made an end run and he was forced from the band.

great down to earth kind of a guy, amazingly talented, make the hairs on your neck stand up when he hits the high notes :shock:
