What has happened to the idea of customer service with these guys?
As a kid I remember my father and I would go to the local junkyard, pull some parts and pay the "nice" guy at the counter and leave.
Now, when I call up a junkyard these guys basically don't want to talk or try to help you at all. One guy (Wake Auto Parts) basically cussed me out for asking for a bracket? Like I was supposed to know that apparently it's not appropriate to call a junkyard and ask for a used part, especially one that they otherwise would never be able to sell.
Well looks like I'll be paying Wagners for the entire control arm, just to get the bracket that I need.
Oh well, I'll shut up now.
Yes Wake can ba a pain in the @ss. Alot of yards have become that way and don't let you out in the yard anymore. I have been hitting and finding all the yards that still do within a hr radius.
I would suggest T.E. Nines in wake forest. They let you in the yard, let you pull it if you want, and are very reasonable. They are in the book and open on saturdays.
