i certainly would not have expected his termination of employment. Lions rule in 2009. 8)

it's football. a game played with a ball. there are cars at the stadiums but generally they are not terribly exciting. 8)

My Dad lives in Colorado and is thrilled to see the "Weasel" to leave. Having 4 chances to win the division and not getting it done is a travesty. The big reason is that Shanahan believes in a fast team, which is great for early in the season, until the beating get too many on IR. 7 RB's on IR tells the story.

Go Giants! - AB

i can see the failure to win the division as being a terminable offense but i guess i was also looking at his record overall. i'm old school in that i believe a coach that has won in the past can win in the future.

of course i also saw a stat that showed Denver has only won 1 of 4 playoff games since Elway left.

i have never really been a fan of Shanahan, but there are quite a few teams that would probably benefit from his being their coach.

the Giants? really? too bad Aaron, i suspect the Panthers will best them this time around.

I thought the Panthers would beat them them 2 Sundays ago. The Giant run defense has faultered recently. Hopefully a couple of weeks off (including the Minnesota game where about 1/3 of the defense starters played) will cure that. - AB

Not sure what I want to see more... a Panther's/San Diego Super Bowl (win/win for me!!) or a Panthers/Steelers... but damn if this isn't just a F**ked-up looking playoff bracket!!
