I must be getting old and cranky. Have any recommendations for a good seat cushion for the car? We're taking the wife's azz numbing Jetta to OH. I can barely take more than a couple of hours. Its like sitting on a 2x8.

I'm surprised to hear that. While I really don't like VW's, all of the ones I have owned have had better than average seats when it comes to comfort. I'm curious to hear what people recommend though as I need a solution for my race seats for commuting to the track.

I did exaggerate some. Its more like siting on a 2X8 padded with a piece of corrugated box. They are not so bad for short trips, but tiring over long distance. If only I could have my '91 Volvo seats in there.

Hey Stephen,

I learned this trick from Feinberg - Sit on a regular bed pillow. It doesnt' sound all that great, but works like a charm. I did it driving to Roebling Road and VIR in Corbeau Forzas - Works great!

It might work for you to Matthew.

I'm interested in what other offerings that are presented. I have to roll a bath towel up for lower back support in street seats.

Yep for the trip to Road Atlanta I pulled the seat and back pads out and used a pillow. You can shape it to where you need the most padding. I have a small pad that has removable foam pieces that I use to support my lower back and keep the arch in it.

Eat a few doughnuts, the problem is probably not the seat, probably your boney arse!
