I honestly think that the inside wheel does very little when at peak G's of any corner. It's nearly completely unloaded and thus doesn't provide much grip at all.

I'm currently having a discussion with people on another forum about a RWD Street Mod car and the benefit of using only springs/shocks and getting rid of swaybars all together. If the car is well balanced, I think that is the best option.

For a RWD stock car, a bigger front swaybar (with grippy concrete) provide quicker transitions (for things like slaloms), but creates a compromise with sweepers, likely due to the extra grip the rear has when the opposite front tire unloads it's weight. There is a healthy balance somewhere, and that's the right bar for the conditions. - AB

I had the oil changed under warranty (ahead of schedule at no charge).
They replaced a seat slider that had some play in it.
And I hardwired a radar detector and iPhone charger.

Maybe an ITR in DS.

Build a Spec E30 race car!

Get new bushings in the SC'd Miata (I think they've been my problem for the last 2 seasons).

Get new shocks in the R-package if I'm going to AutoX in '09. I really dislike Konis for their short life span. Maybe I'll try stock Bilsteins. :whoknows:

Put Airbags in the rear of the Excursion for towing. (No Karl, you can't have it back! :) )

Bushings keep the car from running? We all know what the problem is with your car and worn bushings aren't it.

Isn't that the norm? Has Bernie not made a full disclosure to me?

Keith, did you ever get that clear bra stuff put on it? If you did, I'm interested to know who you used, and how you like it so far.

I haven't gotten it installed yet but it is still on my list. I have the name of a guy in Greensboro who handles all the cars at Foreign Cars Italia that get it. He quoted me $525 installed. I will get you his name and phone number tonight when I get home from work.

Wait until he has an actual race car. He will soon be selling everything including a kidney. Sorry that my response had no reference to an S2000.

Not much for me other than diff and tranny fluid , and alignment in both cars. I might do the coolant too.

I was going to take the plunge for stock 18's and some A6's but I'll probably race TIR class like the 'ol days due to slow sales at work.

OK, on to my next question. These two sentences contradict one another - or at least I think they do. Can you clarify?

In this case "plenty" == "too much." But we were talking about the going to more, not less.

There may be stock class cars where the right compromise for most autocross situations causes some front wheel lift on big sweepers. I think it's not the norm, but not terribly uncommon, either. But I think if you're lifting in transition then you've got too much bar. Or way too little rear shock, but I'm working under the assumption that the shocks are at least in the ballpark with these generalizations, too.

:( That's disappointing Matt - was looking forward to having you in AS this year. But, I understand the decision completely.

I'm going to put the "open class" rallyx parts back on the silver 2.5RS & clean up the rallyx courses (which are currently littered with large pine trees and tree parts).

Whiteline anti-lift kit
lightweight bumper beams
lightweight crankshaft pulley
Tokico DSpec struts with 06 WRX springs
skid plate
maybe replace some rear suspension bushings
maybe replace my nearly-10-yr-old rally tires with something newer & grippier

The "off season" will include playing on the rallyx courses, playing on some gravel roads in the mountains, going to Sandblast Rally and doing some rallyxing. I'll probably be skipping most of the autoxes next year & rallyxing again instead; this will save $hundreds on tires.
