wow. I have just started reading this book: the art of war. by Thomas Cleary. I got it yrs ago at a book store in yosemite, visiting my cousins.I have family on both coasts.. I have now found it again.. and am reading it. It talks a great deal about how to deal with people, and leaders all that good stuff. Very fascinating book.

I hope to be at VIR this FEB. Maybe, maybe not.. some of the members of the Triangle Italian Motor Enthusiasts club will be there. maybe maybe not.
I hung out with them on their toy run. the day of your christmas party.

to win without fighting is best.-sun tzu. thousands of years ago.

Actually, that passage means that one should defeat his opponent psychologically so that he is unwilling to fight.

Clausewitz is another good read for the philosophy behind war and its purpose as an instrument of foreign policy.
