 Post subject: One less Mini in the World

This is my daughters' mini. She fell asleep driving back from Raleigh. When she hit the rumble strip she apparently jerked right and and then slid 90 degrees in to the median cables. She flipped over the cables and hit the ground on the the other sided but apparently the cables had caught the car and flipped it back. It then was caught in the cables (I think this was a very good thing) and slid down them knocking down the little metal posts.

She called me about 12:30 and said "Dad I'm ok, but I have been in an accident, hold on 911 is on the other line" then put me on hold FOR EVER. All she had was a 2 inch cut on her scalp and is still extremely sore. She told one of her co workers that she doesn't know why I haven't blown up on her yet. :lol:

I am not one to bring God in unneccesarily but I can only give Him the credit for this. She should be dead. It was towed through Greenville today and people saw it on a flat bed and started calling around town to see if she was alive. This picture doesn't do it justice. It is trashed!!!

Anyway, great little cars. I'll be getting another one for her.

Does the golden door handle award have to go be awarded based on on-track incidents?
