I drove the ring again last Sunday this time it was dry but there was a lot of cars. I never saw so many cars there. On Saturday there was a race schedule, a 4 hrs race. We arrive there around lunch time. I was there with my friend, the same one than last time, the Swedish guy working in Germany. This time his girl friend came with us, she’s from China. So we stop at a place to watch the race but it was cancel. A car had spill his fuel tank of diesel on the track, on top of this it was raining slightly. So we went to see the cars packing up in the pits, there was some interesting one. Sunday morning there was a bright sunshine but it was cool around 40F. We stay at the same place than last time here the view from my room Sunday morning.

We went pickup the car, the Audi TT the same than last time and went to the track. The track was close they where expecting to open later, the reason was the diesel spill. Later in the morning they say that if they open they will open only for cars, no motorcycle will be allowed. At around noon time they finally open the track. The madness began, people that where having ticket when on track the other line up to buy them, luckily my friend was almost at the beginning of the line. During the time he bought the ticket I got ready to go on track, his girl friend was coming with me for the first lap. Since that lap will be a little bit slower, relearning the track and looking for where the diesel spill was. It was the first time that she was doing something like that. So I finally went off for the first lap, not long after we left they close the track because of a crash so my friend got worry, during the lap we saw the car on the side of the track slightly damage. To make the matter worst for my friend it took about 5 min. before we can get out of the track. There was a long line waiting to get out. When we finally get out my friend was relief. His girl friend like the experience but 1 lap was enough for her. After a while they reopen the track. This time my friend came with me, where the diesel spill was they had put sign with speed limit, that section was around ½ mile long. It looks like they had put dirt to absorb the diesel. That section of track was very dusty. With all the cars over there I was expecting to get passed often but that was not the case. Some laps I didn’t get passed by any car but passed a bunch of them. I passed Porsche, Ferrari, etc. the few cars that passed me where Porsche and M3. We didn’t time all the lap but I had 2 laps with a time of 9:02 and 9:03 that was the first time I went that fast on the track, with the slowdown section and the traffic I guess I should have done an 8:45 easy. With the same car on the wet last spring my best was 10:01. My faster time on the dry was 9:37 with an Audi A3 TDI. Going faster also make me realize how the track is bumpy. It was the first time that I really felt some of them. The car performs very well and was fun to drive. In all we did 8 laps I was thinking to do more but with the track opening at noon that limits us a little bit.
When we return the car she told us that the guy that had reserved the Porsche had sent an e-mail during the day that he was cancelling his reservation.... If he will have send it the day before I might have spend the extra money to drive the Porsche. In all it was a good day and it was fun, will have been better with less traffic and a clean track but it might be for next time. My friend said again that it will do it again even if this time he got a little bit dizzy. This time we didn’t get out every lap we stay in line and get on track again. We did 2 and 3 laps in a row. On the way back he and his girl friend felt a sleep. Need to check if I can book a training for April or May of next year.....
