First off... I've liked everything Metallica has done until St. Anger. I personally thought Load and Reload were there best in terms of production and song writing.

That said... I've just downloaded Death Magnet and all I can say is: if you liked ...And Justice For All, you're gonna cream yourself listening to this new music.

It's very much a mix of the raw/analog sounds from Load/Reload/St. Anger with the chops (and speed) from AJFA and earlier stuff.

The shortest song is 5:01 long (My Apocolypse) ...

BUY IT NOW!!

I'd love for Metallica to make a comeback! Downloading (for free) right now... (don't tell Lars)

Listening to old millon dollar metal bands never gets old if you just listen to the music and forget about the glamour, fame and money. I blasted Anemia on the way home from Laurinburg a few minutes ago and hadn't listened to it in a year or so. It f'n rules just like Ride the Lightning and And Justice for All always will, despite Lars being such a jerk, even though he has just cause.

Well... 1st off, there are only two posts since the album was actually released, and they are both positive (maybe not as gushing as mine... but still) ... Wes and Bowie BTW LOL.

And I'll give 'em this: The Day That Never Comes is definitely forced, and trying too hard to be another Welcome Home or Fade to Black. My Apocalypse would be what I'd call the next song "up" ... but you gotta listen to the record for yourself man. Since when have you "followed the crowd"?

At least download That Was the End of Your Life (could have come straight off AJFA), and The End of the Line. I think you'll like those two the best. I'll give you your $2 back if you don't think I'm right.

FWIW... do NOT judge this album by the 4 pre-released songs... I would call them the worst of the bunch.
