No guesses on my other clone? What if I said it would likely be Cayman drivetrain powered?

A 904 with Cayman drivetrain? I didn't know anyone was building 904 clones with the idea of using the newer drivetrains? The question comes up semi-frequently regarding putting one of the newer watercooled engine and transmissions in the 914 and usually the issue is the width of the newer engine vs. the older split case air cooled engines. So they don't fit without reworking the rear suspension. The 904 is even smaller. It would be interesting to see how they can make that work.

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

It's just a body clone (molded from an original), much like many of the Cobra and GT40 clones. Same folks as the 917, only he's not going to mass produce them. Just going to do one or two and then done. It's a hard thing to turn down. That's just a damned sexy car.

Nice part is that, as with the 917, a bigger person will fit in it. Oh, and in this one I can also have AC. :-)

So some decent power, 6spd, AC, and it looks like a 904. Oh, and it should be reliable. All for under $70k. Hmmm.

Upon further review, I think the paint and porthole window kind of make this car cool. Not great looking, but cool none the less.

:whoknows: Maybe if we ignore Wes he will go away?

Seriously I also thought about starting an ugly car thread. Someone should do that.

Richard,

This has been a wonderful thread to watch and participate in. I don't think Wes should be banned, just his typing fingers cut off.
