We played for a little bit last night. Even Sally thinks it's cool. She should, she schooled me in boxing, bowling and tennis. I was golf champ though.

Is it too early to install the hacked firmware so I can stream pictures to it?

I guess the next accessory is the component cable, so I can (game permitting) get better resolution out of things.

So far it's meeting my lofty expectations. I also appreciate the whole "mindless" aspect of the games. More complicated isn't always more fun. It's also cool that it's kind of anti-game like because it works a lot better if you stand up to play. It's nice to be an active couch potato.

I can see this thing separating me from a lot of money :)

The higher res capable cables really don't help much. The thing only goes to 480p, which really isn't a big deal. On a 60" DLP in the house we rent here at the beach, it still looks great just feeding composite, strangely enough. I honestly wouldn't waste your money on anything more.

If you get MarioKart, don't forget it only comes with one wheel. I find it highly annoying trying to drive all Wii games, but they're even worse if you're just trying to hold a Wiimote up in the air by itself. Get a second wheel. They're just a cheap hunk of plastic.

I'd tell you to enjoy it, but you obviously already are. :-)

Oh, and you can already "stream photos" by just putting them on a web service that has a slideshow mode and then use the web browser the thing has built in to do that if you want. Just a thought. The browser works fairly decent for watching YouTube videos, too. Though blowing up a YouTube video to 60" or more is a recipe for bad video quality no matter how you do it.

Bringing up an old thread...

Not sure if anyone is still looking for a Wii Fit but, I saw 4 over at the new Best Buy in Knightdale.

I can stop by and pick one up if anyone is still looking. Delivery to the next event or it can be picked up at the airport between 0800 - 1600 monday throught friday.

Just let me know.
