It turned over on my way home from work Tuesday night. Thanks to Eric Adams for making this possible...

I've never driven 1 car this far before, in fact I've never driven a car from new to even 200k before. Obviously, this being engine #3 for it I can't exactly claim the car's been trouble-free, but for the life it's lived I've been pretty pleased.

Not that anyone really cares, but I just wanted to share... :-)

You can at least revel in the fact that you are a better photographer than Carl. 8)

Nice. My Integra just rolled over 287k at the last track event. With me not driving it daily anymore, it probably won't hit 300k until sometime in 2010. I always assumed that the engine had never been opened, but since I bought it with 255k on it, I wasn't sure. I met newer club member George McNeil at the VIR-F event last Feb and we figured out that he use to own the car before the guy I bought it from. He was able to confirm that the engine was oringal though.

I notice that in both photos we see cars that aren't running.

Coincidence?

Technically, we can only tell that they aren't moving, or that the speedos no longer work. 8)

LOL I said speedos.

When I sold my yellow Datsun 510 it had 237,000 on it. I wished I had driven it 13,000 more miles to make the quarter million mile mark. I did put 50,000 of pizza delivery service on it. Them was some tough miles. The guy I sold it to 10 years ago put it back on the road so it should be even with Carl's neon. My poor little 210 is lagging behind.

But it has been totaled twice.

I had to push it the last half mile- how embarrassing! :P

I bought the car new in Nashua, NH in November 1995, so over the roughly 12.5 years I've averaged 24k per year. That's including all the time it's sat around waiting for me to put new engines in it...

This is the preferred way of taking photos of the odometer :)

Years ago, a photo was passed around during a club meeting of a speedometer showing 135 mph. The photographer, a former member of the club, took his 2nd gen RX-7 onto I-40 east of Benson (before that stretch was opened) and got a shot of his speedometer at speed.

Congrats on winning HOTM, Ash!

Thanks! :D Maybe I'll take a picture of the heel next to my odometer.

Art McDonald would be proud :)
