Hilarious!! That's the exact first thing I did when my kids were born too, counted the fingers and toes. It's some kind of miraculous realization as a dad that, yes, procreation does work all fine and dandy, and no, all that f*cked up stuff I have done in my life hasn't screwed my kid's genes up too bad :)

Snip snip? Me too -- the doc handed me the scissors and told me to be a man. Glad I did.

Actually, I didn't do that. Having twins means you deliver in a operating room and Dad doesn't get to snip the cord.

If you want to know what it felt like, go tout and get a 5/8" rubber hose and cut it with really good scissors. There, now you know what how it feels.

Congratulations! Now, get off the computer, start wiping butts, feeding mouths, and GET SLEEP when you can.

Congratulations to the entire family!

Oh, and Ryan. Keep an eye on your 240SX, they tried to sell it last night at Swap & Sell. Seems some dudes don't think you'll need it for the next few years!

Ryan,
I knew you could do it!!!! And aren't you glad that you were there to see it all. Do you agree with Walter now, that it is one of the most incredible and overwhelming things that you could ever experience? (And this from me, one of the people that sees it about 25 times a day!!!)
Tell Shannon we are thinking of her! I am so glad things went well. Kiss your family and enjoy every minute of it! You will be celebrating their first birthday before you know it!!! :cheer: They are beautiful, but you knew that already!
Advice tidbits: I know Shannon has a lot of connections at the hospital, use them!!! Never refuse an offer to help. And Shannon.... SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP anytime and anywhere you can!! The whole world looks a little less tilted on even 15 minutes of sleep!!!

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!

I was THERE, I did not see it ALL, by the time #1 was done, saw saw more but still not ALL.

I laughed, I cried. I almost passed out during the epidural of all things.

Hats off to you. I told our nurses and doctors that I had no idea how they did this on a day to day basis.

Great news Ryan. I was wondering when this was going to finally happen.

I think it's something to do with the work being more rewarding than slaving in front of a computer all day.

I think Todd had the worst time with the epidural too.

Get everyone home and settled. I hope everyone gets some rest.
Hey, don't hesitate to call if you guys need anything. I told Todd we need to make a trip down to Greenville with the boxes of clothes (etc) we have for you guys; if you still need/want them.

Congrats Ryan and Shannon! It's almost been 22 years since my first was born, but I still remember the day and experience like it was yesterday. Just remember how awesome you feel now in a couple of weeks at 4am... :D

That's kind of a cop-out, isn't it? Wouldn't Shannon have been better off getting that than you??
