Just an FYI...the Viper and Ian Stewart in the GT3 are coming for us hard. Both had bad wet skid pad finishes, but both are doing very well now. We don't have the power that GT3 has (we should, but we don't, and I'm not sure why), and Ian is driving great. DaVia is having boost control issues that won't be sorted out during this trip, we don't think, so him dropping is definitely possible. Should be interesting!

Congrats on moving up to 2nd place!

Does anyone know if VIR is allowing spectators and if so, how much does it cost?

They are. It's $10 to get in. A few of us are thinking about heading up Thursday Morning.

Do you have a link to that info?

Is it $10/person or car? I've got a co-worker wanting to take his 5 kids.

I had previously posted a link, but it was last year's info. It was free last year.

Per person, but kids under a certain age are free. I don't know the age.

The typical VIR policy is children age 12 and under are free with a paying adult.

That's just bizarre. I guess the car decided it was ready to be finished with the race one way or the other.

It blows, yeah. Yesterday was a myriad of annoying things. First, I dropped my phone at the BMW place and thought it was lost. We bolted there to get to the Greenville Porsche dealership to see if they could diagnose why we weren't getting on cam. Fortunately the phone was found, but the dealer couldn't help with the cam thing, so we wasted a bunch of time there. They were very generous with their attempt to help, though, and didn't charge us a dime for their time. Very nice people.

Then we had to meet up with Jeff to get my phone and went ahead and ate supper. Then we bolted on up here and that's when I got dumb. I guess it was a combination of factors, but the reality is that it was avoidable and I just screwed up. Change any of the stupid things I did and our timing is at least different and we're probably fine. Or who knows, maybe instead we get t-boned somewhere. No used playing what-if...the result is still the same in reality.

Live and learn, I suppose.

Sorry to hear it, Donnie, it's sure an ignominious ending, though I suppose as you say the same thing could've happened 2000 miles from home.

Thanks for writing and shooting all the blog entries, though. I know I've enjoyed following along on your adventures!
