Time Warp Weapon?

Apparently some evil mad scientist invented a weapon that "turns back the clock" on things and some jerk got his hands on it and broke in to my garage last night.

He turned this:

into this:

Weird. Oh well, at least he was kind enough to turn the odometer back a few thousand miles and install a Doug Rippie Motorsports "375 horsepower top end" package. That helps ease the pain a little.

Nice looking car Les. I heard you were looking to make a change, but C5 to C4 isn't what I thought you would do.

What class will that be in?

Yeah, I finally convinced myself to get out of paying car payments. The C4 is not quite as nice or fast, but its all mine and in great shape with only 47K miles. I sold the Z06 last week with 52K miles. The Doug Rippie package includes a whole bunch of engine goodies including ported heads and a bigger cam, so its SM2 for me. Unfortunately it currently has completely stock/soft suspension, so it should be interesting this weekend. I will also be competing with Walter for loudest car. It is obscene.

Congrats. If the car payment thing makes you happy. More power to you Les. Having owned both I would be hard pressed to back to a C4. Though I thought about after the Z06 got totaled.

The C4 can still be very competitive. It's so well documented even a Miata owner could figure out how to do it. Go see the folks at VB&P. Here is the kit to put on it.

Is that DRM motor their 383 stroker? Those will take a beating. Couple of my track buddies are running C4s with a 383 and they give up nothing in power to a stock C5 Z06 or C6.

Man, you did such a good job brainwash.....er convincing me that a C4 would be a good track car and then you insult my intelligence. Now if you had said Honda or Mini or Nissan that would have been OK.
