2008 Chevrolet Cobalt SS

"The suspension has been tuned so well it is one of the most balanced, best handling front-wheel-drive cars we've driven in recent memory. Just how good is it? Rounding our 200-ft skidpad, we pulled an amazing 0.92g — just 0.02 off of the number we achieved in the $248,903 Ferrari F430. And get this…the Cobalt SS was actually faster through our slalom test than the quarter-million-dollar Italian exotic — 72.4 mph vs. 71.9. And at just $22,335, the Chevy is less than one-tenth the cost! On top of all of this, this compact hatchback gets 30 mpg on the highway."

No mention of "Yes, the wheel bearing still suck though". :P

Since when did the Cobalt become a hatchback? Sure doesn't look like one and Chevy doesn't mention it being a hatch.

I rented a Cobalt LS a few weeks ago and drove it up to Roanoke, VA to go pick up my Z06. Took me a few minutes to familiarize myself with the interior. The layout is not bad. Car rides nice and has good manners. Would make a good daily commuter car if you are stuck on Chevies

The SS is all new this year. It actually has quite a few changes with the other Cobalts and the SS of last year. One of those changes is a new Direct injection turbo motor (From the Solstice GXP).
