You can't carry 2 kids in the back of a CRX.

I had to mark that one off the list.

I haven't adjusted my habits but I have been secretly charging Spratte more for his share of gas to help offset my costs. I'm hoping he won't catch on by the end of the season...

My family needed to go up to Connecticut last weekend and I wanted to take the S4 (~24 MPG Highway), but we decided to take my wife's 2001 Toyota Corolla instead (~34 MPG Highway with all four of us). In the end we ended up saving about $60.

Sold the WRX, bought an RS. Went from 24MPG average to 27MPG average and went from Premium to Regular. Immediate $.20 per gallon improvement plus the extra milage for that gallon.

Have been considering buying another crotch rocket, used. They were more my thing than the cruisers are as I've ridden both. I can get a decent one for around $5k and get close to 40MPG or more out of it (after the newness wears off  )

i love big gnarly trucks.. but i also love only paying for my sentra gas usage..
our truck, our ford explorer is only driven when needed. Normal usage is to the bmw's we have. Someday diesel will equalize and be useful again.

I have been considering shoplifting at the grocery store to compensate for increased fuel prices.

i am steadily watching my bottom line being devoured by rising fuel costs.

besides the fact that we have four vehicles on the road everyday with average mpgs @ about 17, all of my material is assessed a fuel surcharge for delivery. i am thinking about dumping one of the trucks for a malibu or implala.

then of course there is the fact that 90 % of the products we sell are manufactured with petroleum based products. some of these costs i can pass on to the end user, but mostly we just have to absorb them.

i'm with George on this one. thievery might become a necessity.

I am averageing around 25mpg but the 50 mile round trip to Dook is getting costly. I am seriously considering a job at Rex(~2 miles from my house).

as much as i realllllly hate the cost of diesel.Although i don't own a diesel, most likely my livelihood, will be linked to diesel costs.it is still cheaper to own a diesel over a gas car. 50 mpg vw vs ~30-ish mpg sentra, on the highway. the vw is still cheaper.

I wish I was better at math.

Actually, I know it's not car related, but I've seen local printing costs climb pretty steadily. It really hurts the local stuff. The larger, nationwide shops buy enough materials that they can take spread the hit out more.

FedEx and UPS fuel surcharges aren't as noticeable as getting a freight shipment of paper in.

Maybe an ITR in DS.
