I have two little girls, 3 and 5 (starts kindegarten in July :o )

I wasn't able to participate in AutoX until late last year, taking care of an infant is no joke and definitely takes two.

I try and make sure the AutoXing doesn't interfere too much with family time and involve them as much as possible. For instance, the older one was on her back under the car the last time I changed the oil

I think it's all about balance, will I stop going so often if my wife or kids start to resent it...you're darn skippy I will.

Its a lot of fun. Seeing them reconize you are start calling you name early on, watching them do things they enjoy and are successfull with later one. Sharing stuff you like with them is great too. You also get a great excuse to do things that would be considered "childish" to entertain them. It's like a free ticket to play games.

Remember, it won't always be as bad as the first 2-4 weeks.

3 would be fine. You just need an extra person to shop/cook/clean since you both will be doing the feedings around the clock. (keep in mind that a three hour feeding schedule involves diaper changes, bottle prep (even if she's breasfeeding since you may not be able to judge their intake), burping, pumping (get a good machine), bottle sterilization, etc. Your 'net' free time is about an hour every three hours. You may choose to sleep during that time :)

My wife and I winged it but not without a lot of neighbors pitching in with dinners.
