Marty is falling down on the job. Somebody find something about the new Soltice targa and post it. Looks pretty good from what little I have seen

Heaven help me, but I kind of like it, at least with the hard roof panel in. Sort of a cross between a Superformance Daytona Coupe and Z4 Coupe.

Heaven help you, indeed. You just named two of the uglier cars ever made, IMHO, and this one will join them.

Sure, it's all about taste, so to each his/her own. Color me unimpressed. But then again, I don't care for what they started with on this one, either.

I'm kind of surprised they're doing this. At the local dealership here, there has to be 8-10 Solstice's on the lot and they've been the same ones for about 5 months. - AB

As soon as the "nice" ( now if it would just stay) March weather hit, we started moving the Solstices. They had pretty much sat unnoticed during the cold months. They tell me that's typical...makes sense. The G6 convertables did the same thing. I think we have three models left now and one G6 convertable.

I think it looks fine. It does have a bit of a "Crossfire" look to it from the rear.

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

Let's make a hardtop that weighs more than the softtop. Brilliant!

That's pretty standard when companies take a car that was originally a roadster and make it a hardtop. We're used to hardtop cars weighing less than convertibles because it used to be that a company took a hardtop car and turned it into a convertible, which required adding weight to stiffen the car because of a loss of rigidity when you remove the top. I don't know of a single case where a car company took a roadster chassis and added a hard top and lost weight. Even the Porsche Boxster turned Cayman got heavier.

The Z4 M Coupe is ugly, but I still want one for some reason. Maybe Pontiac has found that magical look?

They couldn't give it a useable trunk despite loosing the gear for the convertible??

The M coupe (Z4) is very hot. When TC Kline showed up with one marginally prepared for SM2, but painted in Chevrolet orange, I fell in love :) To say it was beautiful was an understatement. There is no Solstice that could hold a candle to it :) - AB

I think it's the whole 1950's & 60's long hood/short deck styling thing. It's pretty well burned into my conciousness. Not that I have to explain the appeal of these cars (I hope), but here are some examples of the look:

Ah yes, the carbon coupe. Very nice.
