The red bull teams are optomistic. I doubt they will have a different season than last.

Every year for fun my brother and I predict the season championship outcome prior to the first race. Here is what I sent him this year...

Constructor

1 Ferrari
2 McLaren
3 Williams
4 Renault
5 Red Bull
6 BMW Sauber
7 Toyota
8 Toro Rosso
9 Honda
10 Force India F1
11 Super Aguri F1

Driver
1 Kimi Raikkonen - Ferrari
2 Lewis Hamilton - McLaren
3 Felipe Massa - Ferrari
4 Heikki Kovalainen - McLaren
5 Nico Rosberg - Williams
6 Fernando Alonso - Renault
7 Kazuki Nakajima - Williams
8 Nelson Piquet Jr - Renault
9 Mark Webber - Red Bull
10 David Coulthard - Red Bull
11 Nick Heidfeld - BMW Sauber
12 Jarno Trulli - Toyota
13 Robert Kubica - BMW Sauber
14 Sebastian Vettel - Toro Rosso
15 Timo Glock - Toyota
16 Sebastien Bourdais - Toro Rosso
17 Jenson Button - Honda
18 Giancarlo Fisichella - Force India F1
19 Rubens Barrichello - Honda
20 Adrian Sutil - Force India F1
21 Takuma Sato - Super Aguri F1
22 Anthony Davidson - Super Aguri F1

Thoughts
* I think Ferrari has momentum and also doesn’t have to deal with the FIA hovering over them. So I give Ferrari a slight edge over McLaren. However McLaren could easily surprised me and beat Ferrari.
* I think Kimi will repeat, but if Lewis doesn’t have any more rookie mistakes he could win the Championship
* I think Williams will do well, but will not really challenge McLaren or Ferrari. I hope I am surprised as I would like to see Williams get a win this year.
* Fernando will not be a factor in the championship this year.
* I don’t think BMW is going to have a good year.
* Timo Glock will have a tough year at Toyota
* I would like to Sebastien Bourdais to do well, but I don’t have a feeling as to how he will do.
* Jenson and Rubens are putting on a brave face regarding the new Honda, but the testing times do not look good. I almost put them behind Force India F1. But I think Honda may do better in the second half of the season
* I think this will be Rubens last year in F1. Look for Anthony Davidson to replace him next year.
* I put Super Aguri last as I will be surprised if they make it through the season. But I hope they do make it.

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

I am surprised you pick Piquet Jr to finish 8th.

Bordais is a douche. Don't ask me why, I just don't like him.

Anyone know what else they changed with the regulations other than removing the traction control?

The qty of failures was interesting. Lewis made it look easy. Massa looked like the Massa of old and that is not a good thing. Kimi looked like he was trying a bit too hard. Honda's car suprised me (probably everyone else as well). Which is good as I want them to do well. Organization in the pit however was another thing. Hopefully Ross will have a good sit down with everyone after this event. It looks like BMW was sandbaging in testing. I had put them down in my pick earlier. So I got that one wrong. I felt bad for Heikki on the last lap. Apparently after he put the pass on Fernando he was pulling a tear off strip from his visor and accidently hit the pit lane speed limiter with his other hand. But otherwise a good start for his first race with the new team. You have to give Bourdais credit for doing very well until his engine let go.
