get you an E46 Marty. while they have an aluminium block and the water pump needs replacing about every 50-60k miles they are going to be newer with less miles than an e36.

how many events are you looking to run? i am sure an e46 would do you fine.

i have an '01 330i with steptronic i might be willing to part with.

Well, here's my 2 cents worth even though I drive a 328....

Personally I like the way the car is built and it's fairly easy to work on. I figure any car that's built for the autobahn, is going to take the heavier abuse and hold up better.
