Yep, that's what they say the Knight Industries Three Thousand gets. I figure I'm a shoe-in to win one from the NBC Knight Rider contest. Then I'll be as cool as

Yeah, and its solar powered too! I'm not sure how exactly they feed the supercharged V8 with solar energy, but regardless its got to be super cool. :D

I hate to admit it, I did watch that ford commercial. Lost credibility when the Edge stayed on the tail of KITT in the opening chase seen. Then KITT makes a 640 mile trip in 3.5 hours, so that's what, ~182mph give or take? But then the bad guys show up at the casino a 1/2 hour later? WTF! I guess the Edge they drove was KITT or KIFT (knight industries four thousand).

....can't beleive I watched that....but I did enter the contest!!

1) David Hasselhoff played Michael Knight who was the Knight Rider.
2) The Knight Industries Two Thousand (old KITT) was a turbine powered Firebird.
3) The Knight Industries Three Thousand (new KITT) is a solar powered, supercharged Shelby Mustang KR.

Solar powered? Did Al Gore have something to do with this? So even the FBI is going green!

I must preface with the fact that Knight Rider was my favorite show when I was ten years old. I watched the premiere last night and I was at first appalled at the unrealistic aspects of the show, I later realized the show I watched and loved 25 years ago was just as unrealistic and somehow felt OK. :D It certainly requires some suspension of disbelief. The Ford commercial aspect of the show annoyed me to no end though, as well as the endless advertisement for Monday night's "My Dad is Better than your Dad".

It was a 2-hour Ford commercial. And the acting was TERRIBLE. Insulting, really. If this week's episode is also one long Ford commercial, I'm done watching.

Matt<---sez, screw KITT, gimme an Edge that can keep up with a highly modified Mustang GT500 in a mountain chase.....

No doubt that Edge was equippped with the 2009 twin-turbo direct injection "EcoBoost" version of Ford's 3.5 liter V6. Not to mention a Saturn V main booster.

Looking forward to your review of the Transformers movie :) :)
