Interesting, but several cues in their presentation make it appear bogus:

1. Claiming a Chrysler van w/318 ci engine going up a 30 degree incline at 65 mph for an hour approximates 50% engine loading and results in 22 mpg. Someone didn't do their homework. I'd really like to see a Chrysler van attempt to reach 65 mph on a 30 degree incline - no chance. Heck, a typical steep (5-6 degrees) inclined section of interstate results in downshifting, indicating well over 50% engine loading - now let's go up an incline tha's 5 to 6 times that - don't see that happening. And 22 mpg?!

2. Stating you would decrease fuel injection duty cycle (lean the fuel mixture) when the Air Fuel ratio gets higher than the target (14.7:1) value. Hmmm, that's sorta backwards.

3. Hitting "Contact Us" results in an excuse statement that they are overwhelmed with inquiries and to instead fill out a "Request for Quote" form, then a Customer Service Rep will be in touch. In other words, they're unwilling to address any inquiry other than an order for their 'space age' technology product.

4. No independent test data or reviews from any recognized group, just "best thing since sliced bread" statements from "Automotive Technician from Dallas, TX", "Experienced Mechanic from Phoenix, AZ".

Not looking too legit.

Magnets on the fuel line have been around since the 70s.

Breaking water down onto hydrogen and oxygen does create a very clean burning fuel. The only problem is it takes more energy to break the water down then you get back by burning it.

Warming the fuel up might make it vaporize better but warming the air fuel charge lowers the density of the charge and lowers power output. That is why there are intercoolers on most turbo motors.

A very slick snake oil presentation. :word:

Man, that's awesome. My first auto-x car had a lot of pre-ignition, but then it was a CVCC motor. I don't think I ever saw more than 35 mpg from that car. Those jerks at Honda were stealing me blind!

oh Gawd!

My dad called me the other night and asked me to look that site up on the interweb. He said they had a full page ad in US News & World Report, and that (to him) made it much more legit.

I told him it sounded like BS, but I looked at the site- and now I KNOW it's BS.

Do a search for Jeff Otto - he seems to be behind alot of this stuff, also lots of health + wellness products, most of which IMHO are pyramid schemes anyway. If you read the fine print about the money back guarantee for this preignition gizmo- they never say that you'll get your money back- they say that your money will be applied to the next version of this gizmo or the catalytic converter magical thingamabob if you don't get the MPG results they promise. They also mention how great it is for you to become a distributor of the preignition thingamabob- and how much $$$ you can make from each sale.

It's complete and utter BS, and it pisses me off that people fall for it.
