I am in need of a good free or inexpensive spam blocker. Something has phished my e-mail address. I can select block sender from Outlook, but it gets tiring and at the same time I wan to maybe just ban a domain. I have Macafee, but it seems to not have a block feature just a scan. Thoughts, recommendations?

You also could try choice mail. It has a free and pay version. It is the type that sends a challenge back to the sender asking them to enter the funky looking characters that appear in the box. If they do that they are accepted or you can manually accept.

It is amazing to see all the spam

gmail has one of the best free spam blockers, period. There are methods available of forwarding mail there then to another account that free you from spam forever.

I couldn't agree more. Having gone through several email services in the last few years I am absolutely amazed at Gmail's accuracy in identifying spam.

(BTW, Hotmail's been the worst -- so bad it's laughable.)

FYI Earthlink's spamblocker works well. Most spam is screened behind the scenes. Then you can set an option that only allows addresses or domains through that you select. Earthlink works with an email client (Eudora, Outlook, etc.) AND with a webmail version. I use a client email at home and webmail from work, etc.
