What is Ford going to learn from that to help out the Mustang. How to make it even heavier... Here's a hint Ford. Start using more aluminum and other light weight metals in your Stang and put it on a diet...
My 2007 Mustang GT has an aluminum engine and an aluminum hood. It's a pretty big car, almost the size of an Accord V6 coupe. I can't compare it to a 2008 Camaro

, but here are the curb weights that edmunds.com lists for this year's Mustang GT, Accord EX V6 coupe, and the diminutive BMW 135i:
Mustang: 3356 lbs

Accord: 3446 lbs

135i: 3373 lbs

I didn't say I want the new Taurus to influence future Mustangs (not sure that a direct injection turbo V6 fits the Mustang image), but I sure want it to provide the R&D funds.
