Anyone who knows me should not be the least bit surprised that I have a Ron Paul 2008 sign in front of my house on the road and have contributed to his campaign. I have not however hung any bed sheets from any overpasses. :-) His refusal to woo with honey is much of his appeal. The truth rarely makes one feel warm and fuzzy especially when talking about government. I've been hearing that Paul's campaign has been trying the "honey" approach to some degree in New Hampshire and I think this is a big mistake.

IMHO Dr. Paul is the only candidate that has a long term vision for preserving viable prosperity in the USA and not just a vision for getting re-elected in 2012.

And Bernie, Dr. Paul is pretty strong on the immigration issue that concerns you.

Signs
I was at first reluctant to pay for them, but the $$ from the sign sales are a campaign contribution as well. I actually have a spare I've been meaning to put up somewhere but have been too lazy.

There is a crotch punch waiting for you the next time I see you. I thought he was too busy seeing ghosts with Shirley McClain to campaign.

I will say this, Dr. Paul is one of the few candidates that I believe what he says.

And in reference to the Meet the Press interview that Wes posted, I will agree that he did a pretty poor job in the interview but he is facing a huge challenge as its very hard to express these ideals in short answers. All his answers seemed to require the filtering of some fundamental libertarian philosophy to make much sense. I doubt he managed to pick up any support from anyone already firmly planted in any camp probably even libertarians themselves. Most of his responses would only make sense to someone who is already a libertarian leaning independent (people already supporting him) and therefor a failure. Not saying I could have done any better though....

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

Which is exactly why I generally stay out of political discussions altogether.

I still like Spratte's suggestion best.

I'd like to point out that all I was looking for was other supporters of Ron Paul -- I specifically was NOT bringing up his campaign, or any other candidates, for discussion :)

But I know how these things go :)
