The charts show the improvements in various tests. You can use Babel Fish to translate the page, but in nutshell it just talks about more uniform contact patch under load than the RE-01R using their F1 technology. Availability is Mar 2008 in Japan.

Interesting. Do you get Ferrari-like results if you fill the tire with Freon and CO2 as well??

No worries most likely since it probably won't be available in the US for a long time after Mar 2008.

If you aren't using them right away, I'll give you a small profit on them!

Apparently, Tire Rack bought everything Bridgestone had and are expecting another shipment in a few weeks to blowout.

I just learned if I would have called, I could have got the 255/40/17 for $85/tire

Yeah, I was about to pull the trigger on a set for my 240 as well. I didn't need to spend the money though, so no biggie.

Uh, the 11's will be here soon. Contract drivers already have them. Mike King has done back to back testing and the 11's were much faster, apparently.

So, you just missed it and they're no longer available? I'm looking for 255/40/17's.

Did you mean 245/40/17? I don't see the 255/40/17 listed.

The RE-11's are listed as available 3/6 @ $231.

Just got off the phone with Tire Rack. The RE-11's are available in March.

Mike, thanks for the tip, I think you just saved me $100 on a rear set. 8)

how is the treadlife on the RE01Rs? Thinking of picking up a set for my car but I was wondering if it would last as my street + monthly autox tire.
