Ok, so I'm sitting at the airport right now awaiting my return to Raleigh after almost two weeks of fun and excitement in the Northern States. Last week I was in NYC visiting my sister and this week I was in Chicago doing some training for work. While this week was technically work, I would say that I just finished a two week vacation. :D

So last week, I was in a city where you would expect to see many celebs and stuff. Well, if I had paid attention to what my sister said about one of her gigs, then I would have had all my celeb interest knocked out in one night. As it was, I didn't quite grasp the concept that the Sean John release party for Unforgetable was what she was working on. Hence when she called me after my arrival I didn't try to catch up with her to have a good day. It wasn't until she mentioned that she had just finished talking with P Diddy for the second time that I realized what I had missed out on. As it turned out, it was of course his party. The guest list included such faces as Ashton Kutcher, JayZ, Beyonce, Kayne West, and a few others that I didn't quite catch. And I missed it. :x Well, other than that, I had a great time hanging out in New York as I always do. Went out every day and night, ended up drinking my share of adult beverages each outing, and not all of them cost me a dime. One bar in particular has happy hour from noon till 9PM every day and we hit it at the right time since the bartender was an alcoholic and gave us one drink and 4 shots of Tequila each in 30 minutes for 8 dollars total!! Yeah, that was a good day. :P I did get to hit up an after party later in the week which included a full open bar. Again, another really good night. Somehow I found a few waitreses that took a liking to me and ended up pumping me full of free drinks on two other nights as well. So was I really upset about not meeting P Diddy and crew? Not really. :D

Chicago was great. Just like New York, only with more parking and not as many people. The rush hour traffic was only two times a day instead of all day. And the city was much cleaner. The food in both locations was spectacular, and the drinking was just as well in both places as well. But, alas I had to pay for all my drinks in Chicago. Like I said, I'm currently in the airport, and that happes to be where I got my celebrity sighting. On my way through the terminal, I saw and met of all people Ben Stein. Now this was very ironic for a couple of reasons. Well of course the whole Ferris Bueller movie was based in Chicago, and my coworkers and I were considering doing a mini Ferris tour to catch the sites that were included in the movie. What better person to get the information from than Ben Stein! Well, I only got to chat with him briefly as he was boading his flight to LA. He really was a good guy and looks much older now then he use to. I guess that's what happens when you get old. :P Anyway, I'm hoping to board soon and soon I'll be back to my boring life back in Raleigh. :D
