NOOOOOO!!!
That's terrible news Karl. Are there any distinct features to it that would set it apart like stickers or emblems?
Don't all the AP2's have immobilizers?
Good luck on the recovery and I'll keep an eye on Craig's List & H-T.
On the immobilizers Matt, I suspect they drug it up onto a flatbed (or I uncharacteristically left it unlocked). Although really, its a convertible - if they want in, they're getting in. It's the only way they could have done it. My bedroom is clear on the other side of the house so I doubt I'd have heard it.
Well, as it sat it had black Rota Torques, a trailer hitch, revalved Koni singles, and a Valentine One (yep - they got that too). Otherwise it was an A Stock car so completely stock. Dark silver with a black top and interior, dark tint too. There's also a tiny little decal on the bottom left side of the rear glass that if you look close, it's a jackstand.
Otherwise not much that can be seen from outside. Although - it's been gone four days so they've had time to strip it by now and I may not have much use with what's left. I suspect that it is a goner.
Oh, and my data acquisition system I'm pretty sure was in the trunk...
It looks like I'm not gonna get another 13K mile 2004 for whatever insurance decides to give me. I paid 22 and with a year's worth or so of depreciation, I suspect I'll be fronting some cash. What an epic pain in the ass.
Maybe I'll start another thread for replacement ideas, but I think if I had it to do right now, I'd get another S2000. Just need to find a late model one so my wheels would be legal - those things have $1100 worth of Hoosier A6s on them that are sitting at Feinberg's house!
