I have noticed a bunch of BMW's parked in a "rural setting" (house, large garage or whatever outbuilding, etc.) where Old Creedmore Road meets Carpenter Pond Road in northern Wake County (almost in Durham County). Anybody know who this is? Since I'm not into BMW's I don't have a personal interest other than curiousity but thought some of you BMW's types might know or care?

The guy that owns the place does run a "shadetree" BMW garage. We live a mile or so down Carpenter's Pond and when I gave Charlie Guthrie directions to our place he said "Oh, just down the road from xxx'x BMW garage". Of course, I can't remember the guys name now that you've asked ....

That's Truett Ray's place - one of the best independent BMW mechanics around. Now that Ed Geiger's closed his doors, I guess Truett is the best one around :)

I have been up there several times. I can dig up the number if anyone needs it.
