I don't know about you guys, but when temperature hits 50 in the winter around here, I love it. When it gets up to 60 I'm really ready for summer come to back. When it soars up to 70.. that's it. I can't take it anymore.. I want to be driving on course!!

I think we should implement a short term, emergency autocross action team that is in effect from Nov 1, to March 1st. If on Thursday at noon, it looks like the forecast is for sunny skies and 55 plus degress..... we need to implement the emergency autox action plan and go driving that Saturday!

As for sites.. don't worry about that... I think I can arrange something!

I'm ready. You guys think I'm kidding...... don't you?? :)

Miles

Works for me, especially since I lost the job at the RBC I was supposed to do ;-) I'd volunteer to be on that crew. I think Sanford is close enough to make an emergency site.

As Mike said when we discussed running year round at the RBC. Let's not have Mother Nature dictate us shutting down in winter. Especially a 55+ deg winter day. I'm sure we can scrounge up a handful of people that will show up

I would participate/helpout whenever possible. Maybe set up a time frame (Wednesday noon til Thursday noon) for people to respond if they can make it before you decide it is on. During the regular season we know the schedule in advance so we mark our calendars and plan around it. It might be a little harder to reschedule existing plans so you can make it with only two days notice....but I am sure there would be a good number of folks that would try..

Hey, Im for it too. Just tell me where to be.

Would this be run just like normal "season" events or like the RBC Night Series?

Remember, I'm mostly dreaming... Any seriousness to these ideas would have to evaluated and approved by the 2004 senior officers. But if there is really enough support for it, and it could be made to work logistically (especially if it does not burn out our regular staff members), then maybe it could happen.

We would have to work through the economics (not lose money) logistics, etc. but I can see how it might be possible. We'd need a totally different crew to run things though from those that are responsible during the regular events. Those guys already have enough to do.

Right now.. it's just fun thinking about it. But we used to once think it would be a lot of fun to have a night series at RBC.... oh wait.. we really did that didn't we? :)

Exactly Miles! We now have a Night Series crew and volunteers that let us do a pretty much self-run event. If those folks are willing, I know I am, then we could treat it like the night events. No trophies, just for fun and practice. Let's break up the winter doldrums and go play :car:

I'm with ya Miles. Also, it's a good way to "groom" folks to learn how to run an event, which will ultimately take a load OFF the normal staff.

Count me in!

As an officer, I'm willing to consider this...

Yall do realize the forcast for Saturday January 3 is 70 degrees and relatively dry...

I saw a few mosquitoes out yesterday when I was working in the garage.

The high for Sunday is supposed to be 72!!!

Yes, I do, and it's absolutely killing me to not be driving! I'm so ready to go!
