i am sure everyone wants to know the answer to this question.

per one of our manufacturer reps, to stay cutting edge in the design field they design commercial carpet. the carpet in their dealerships is of their own design. talk about vertical diversification.

it is actually quite cutting edge and astehtically attractive in its presentation. upscale pricing but not prohibitive. several unique designs with "Great World Cities" as the theme.

so [ Shameless Plug ] if you are interested in some carpet tile designed by the BMW Werks design staff, i am an authorized dealer. :twisted: :roll:

I'm pretty sure that Ford beat BMW to the carpet design punch, though I doubt they ever marketed their wares. In 1990 I visited the Ford Credit Corporation HQ in Dearborn (on a business trip) and was very impressed with the carpeting in the hallways. Brown with large rectangular orange insets. No doubt inspired by the interior of a 1974 Gran Torino.
