I need some welding done. I've broken the tube that holds the inserts for my foot pad on my total gym. It still works, but I need to stabilize it. I'm not looking for pretty work, just something to keep this crack from creeping. Anyone want to test their talents? I have money and beer to pay you.

Let me know please!

Rodney,

Assuming this is steel and not aluminum, I can do it. Unfortunatly I am going on vacation tomorrow. If it can wait until next weekend I can help. Also, my welder is 220V and it setup with a tank, so you probably would need to bring it to my house (South Durham).

If it can't wait until then, I am sure there is probably a few people who will volunteer to help you. A 110V flux core setup would probably travel to your place pretty easily.

Richard

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

Rodney - I can do it any night this week after 8:30 pm here at my hoise if you're interested. And if you can't find anyone closer, I'm pretty far from you.

It won't look good but I promise it won't break :)

Money not required. Beer always appreciated :)

Well, props to Mike and his mig welder. It's an ugly job, but theres NO WAY I'm going to break this one  Mike did find what some of the settings were on the welder, so he continues to fine tune his skills.

For those of you with minor welding needs, Mike's skill can be had in exchange for some good beer. I think part of the conversation last night was if he could do some small welding every week, he wouldn't have to buy beer again!

Thanks again Mike (and I'm just trying to set you up for the free beer thing...)

Maybe next time give him the beer after the welding is done.

Strike that. Prime the pump with a couple of cold ones first. :beerbuds:

Hey it's not *that* ugly! The important weld turned out nice :) Trying to get a bead on the torn thin metal, well that didn't work so well...

In fact, I will weld for *any* beer, good or not :)
