Got a letter in the mail today, I didn't recognise the sender (Ft. Lauderdale FL).

It contained two $1 bills, and a note (I didn't read it). The note appeared to be the typical "Add your name to the top, send everyone else on the list $2 and etc, etc, etc."

Well, I pocketed the $2 (didn't see any white residue or anything) and threw out the letter.

So, to me, while I didn't get rich, it does appear that you can make money doing these pyramid schemes. What I don't understand is how they got my name and address.

It came to "Matthew Johnson" and I never go by Matthew (that's my first name). Even my credit cards don't say Matthew... How odd.

It was a Christmas pyramid scheme. Someone put your name at the top randomly as gift to you.

To bad it was only $2.
