Zaino is good stuff, regardless of the car you own :) If Rodney really wants to improve the paint, he should be looking away from products and getting a Porter Cable 7424. I bought one about 2 years ago and it will make any paint look better, when used correctly.

I know, I just had to give him, and the Corvette owners in the process, a hard time.

BTW - what is this wax stuff you are talking about? :?: :?

X2, that Porter Cable buffer is some of the best money I've ever spent.

I have never used Zaino on my Vettes Todd

Typically 3M FinesseIt with a buffer. Then apply Rejex by hand. Once a year it gets the clay bar treatment.

I'm seriously considering the Porter Cable 7424. Tried to find one locally at Xmas and couldn't.

Oh and this wax thing they speak of. Waste of time. It comes off too easily. Try a polymer, it lasts for months. Rejex, Zaino, Duragloss, etc.. Cone marks, tire worm marks, bugs, etc. come right off.

Unless you're trying to win at a car show Zaino is too expensive and requires too many steps. I'm just not that thrilled about spending my life waxing anymore for some strange reason...

Pet names?

Zaino is just two steps. Unless you have OCD. Wash and then put the stuff on and wipe it off. Takes longer to wash the car than to apply the Zaino.

RE: Brasso. I'd rather do preventative maint. then use Brasso or Ryan's friends. :P

I like the zaino stuff myself, but used the multi-step process. Z-1, then zZ-2 (or Z-5), then Z-6... rince repeat.

David, you using the Z-AIO? How do you like it?

contemplating taking the Zaino plunge myself. So just Z-2 is good enough (and the occasional Z-5 to cover up any swirl marks)?

I had to look. It's been awhile. Two steps. Since I don't use the Z-1. Keep in mind, I started this from new. Although it probably would benefit from Z-1 now.

Wash with Z-7. Polish with Z-2 using the accelarator (Zfx) so if I'm feeling chippy I can hit another coat immediately. Might mug the roof and mirrors with Z6 since they're black. British Racing Beige doesn't really benefit from Super Gloss Enhancement. :?

ok, made the trip to Majestic Solution....got a little expensive walking out the door, but I have the tools/chemicals I need now. I'll report back on the improvements (if any).

The guy did break out some product and went to work on a few of the deeper scratches on the car. I was amazed at the little bit of effort he put into it and how much better those 2 spots look now. I think there's hope for the car. I'll take some before and after photos.

back later....

Glad they were able to help. They seem to have the best range of products and are more than willing to demonstrate them. That is why I suggested taking your car so they could really recommend what you needed. Looking forward to the pics!
