I don't understand the Virgin Islands part as it appears to have been a BMWNA vehicle until ~7k miles. I'll call BMWNA to check it out next week. It has been up north for a few years, but the current owner did not drive it everyday in the winter. However, I HATE the thought of even one trip down a salted road, so it might be one to pass on. However, these cars are extremely rare with sport package, and this one has everything else we want also: cold weather package, rear window blinds, pdc, and Nav plus it is metallic red as opposed to either silver or black. There is probably not another one like it in the US (they only imported maybe a total of 500 540iT's with sport package in 2001).

Does look like one owner, but no mileage is reported in any of the records. Maybe VA's reporting system is just old-school. I'd get the dealer records for the VIN (assuming it's been serviced at the dealer) -- I've done that several times now, can get the service code de-coder somewhere online - ping me if you don't have it/can't find.

Thanks Mike. The link you e-mailed wants a log-in though -- actually it is a dead html page attached to the e-mail but is showing the log-in screen. This one is at a BMW dealer in Roanoke, and I don't know what options it has yet.
