New Maserati coupe making its way to the Geneva show

More Italian sheetmetal is making its way to the annual Geneva Motor Show in the form of a new coupe from Maserati. The new car, which will likely replace the automaker’s present coupe, is penned on both the interior and exterior by longtime Ferrari/Maserati partner and legendary Italian design house Pininfarina.

Maserati is hoping the car, which hasn’t been officially named as of yet, will help it finally break even in 2007 after some 16 years of losses. The car is expected to go on sale this summer. No word yet on what engine will power the new vehicle, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it is a version of the 4.2-liter V-8 the automaker uses.

The interior doesn't look like much and I agree that color just isn't classy or good looking at all. I do love the shape of that car though.

I think I'd rather have a DB-9.

I'd settle for a Jag XK.

I'm not sure what I'm driving.
Maybe an ITR in DS.
Or half-assed STX prepped 330.

I would as well take the Aston or the Jag over this car, if someone wanted to buy me one of these I'd gladly drive it, red interior and all. ;-)

I guess it's hit or miss.

I don't know why but I seriously dig the red interiors in the S2k's. Perhaps it's the ricer in me...

You don't count. Your GTO had the red interior. It wasn't really that bad though. The noise that came from the motor made me forget about everything else anyways.

No, I actually loved the red interior on the GTO, and like it as well on this Maserati although the Maserati has too much red. I ike most red leather interiors. I just want someone to buy me the Maserati. :D
