I got the following note from our own Kurt Spitzner, who served as president of THSCC repeatedly in the 1980s and early 1990s before we finally got sick of his ranting about Gremlins and Pacers and sent him packing ... first to Car Guys, then Road Atlanta, then SuperTouring, then SCCA Pro Rally, then GRM. Now he's a professional ice queen:

OK, i'm probably not going to apply for my SAG card just yet, but its a start...

At least you get a glimpse of my winter-time 'office'!

Cool- thanks for posting that, Art!

Matthew Johnson's also instructing there this winter, and you could hear his voice for about a second, coming over the radio.

Haven't looked at that video link yet, but I saw Spitzner on WRAL (I think) last week when they had their extended coverage because of the "snow" we had.

It was a somewhat confusing segment IMHO, mostly because it looked like they edited out any info about what Spitzner was doing and who he was doing it for (you could sort of make out the "Bridgestone Winter Driving School" logo on the SUV they were standing next to). They interviewed Spitzner about the do's and don'ts of winter driving, but that's about it.

Still, it was pretty cool to see one of "us" on National TV..... :)
