ME!
Seriously, that's what I thought was going on for a short time earlier tonight. I was sitting in my kitchen eating dinner and watching the news- when I heard what sounded like a 4 wheeler riding through my back yard! I walked over to the sliding glass door and saw (illuminated by the 4 wheeler's headlight) a guy sitting on a 4 wheeler and another guy trying to push him over some bushes. I went out the garage door and walked around to the back yard to see what these guys were doing- when I heard a loud voice yell "SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT.........STOP!!!!!!"
Seems that these 2 guys were riding this 4 wheeler down the MIDDLE of the road in front of our house, a Sheriff's dept detective just happened to be driving by and saw them- he made a quick u-turn and gave chase. The 2 guys came down our driveway and tried to cut through our back yard to the cow pasture, but got stuck on an old clothesline post.
The detective called in the VIN of the 4 wheeler and it came back stolen on 10/28 from a house about 2 miles down the road from here!! So, they called the rightful owner, they came and got the 4 wheeler (seems it was stolen out of their yard in part because they left the key in it!!!). The detective was a bit miffed that he did not catch the guys who were riding the 4 wheeler, but he was happy that they were able to return it to its rightful owners.
I just wish they had a camera crew riding with them, I coulda put on my mullet wig and taken off my shirt and been on COPS!!!!!
