OK, so you're driving down the road in Cary/Raleigh/Apex/wherever, and see a new construction site. You want to know what is going to be built there. Any easy way to find out?

Alternatively, how about finding a list of planned retail developments in a particular area?

No particular need, I'm just curious about a few sites near my house.

Email me offlist if you cant find what your looking for, I have a access via my work (APAC). I dont know if you can view the listings and not be an AGC member.

Unless its put out to public bid, you generally cant find out much info on a private project.

You can, however, look at the public record to see what the zoning is and who has taken out a building permit. That should tell you whether it is a church (probably), or the new nuclear waste depository.
