Looks clean (commenting on the Mustang, not the VIN)

Todd - I saw that one, and it looks like a winner. If I were you I'd snatch it up quick, it won't last long at that price.

Bring it over here on an extended test drive and we'll do an inspection ... don't wait for the carfax.

Now why didn't a car like that become available locally when I was shopping? I looked for over a year and eventually had to go out of state!!!

That would be great Mike, however the car is in Henderson. If it was closer, I would just bring it over. I'll ask if they mind it being taken on such a long test drive. We are going to look at it tonight.

I really think the car looks good. But you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover and you really shouldn't judge a car by it's pictures on the interweb.

Even with a handful of problems, if the motor is in good shape and drives well, it's worth it at that price. In my opinion. They are pretty easy to work on, parts are cheap, and the 2.2l engine is pretty bulletproof.

That's what I wanted to hear, Mike. I think that the issues that whe owner told me about are items that I can fix. And if they are beyond my capabilities, then it gives me a chance to learn something new.

Any words of wisdom on things I should look for when I go tonight?

Kevin would have better input. Make sure it shifts OK, 150k is nearing the "worn out transmission" point. Not sure how to evaluate the center diff. Listen for road noise from the back of the car -- rear wheel bearings on these cars can be flaky.

And the usual things, look for water in the oil and vice versa. Not smoking, not leaking much, etc.
