Oh come on now.... Guess who has the most World Series championships after the Yankees? Thats right, the Cardinals have the second most WS titles in baseball.

Yeah, I know... they are the underdog here. But, they were the underdog against the Mets also and we all know what the Mets are doing today.

Its not a knock on LaRussa or the Cards, its just in the stars for the Tigers. Similar to the White Sox last year and Angels of a couple years back.

Im not a Tigers fan myself (GO SOX) but I married into a family of Tigers fans.

I didn't know the Tigers had any fans left.

We will find out what 'is in the CARDS' this year. The Tigers definately have the advantage, especially with the week off they got as compared to the 1 night the Cardinals get. Nevermind the fact that last night's win was the Cardinals 90th win of the season :shock:

exactly. They fell flat on their face at the end of the season and barely made the playoffs. Last night was only their 90th win of the year! So, they are major underdogs in the World Series, but it isn't over until someone wins 4 games.

I can't believe that a team that went 2 games over .500 is going to be playing in the World Series. I thought that the NLC was stronger, but then again the Astros always suck balloonknot in the postseason.

Just look at the Cardinals record over the last 15 games. They fell from 9 games up on the Astros to just barely making it in. The Cardinals are a better team than the record shows. They just had a ton of injuries and bad luck during the final stretch. Luckily they have turned it around in the playoffs, so hopefully we will see the real Cardinals in the WS and not the final stretch Cards.

Only two teams have won more World Series than the Cardinals and only one has been to more World Series.
You must be a "Brokeback" Mets fan and we all know they love to drive Miatas. Worse, you might be a Red Sox fan. How many World Series have they won in the past 100 years?????

The Cardinals had enough good pitching to win. Even Ryan knows good pitching will beat good hitting everytime.
I agree that they will be the underdog against the Tigers. They have been impressive and have a week's rest.
