It is very entertaining. Lots of celebrity voice input. tugs at the heart strings, if you are inclined to be emotional. Worth a matinee at the least.

We thought it was a good one too. The girls especially liked Sally Carrera. They can already pick out the cool cars!!!

There's a bit of a spoiler in my comments below, so don't read them if you haven't seen the movie.......and care

my boys (5 and 3) went to see it. it was just OK for me, and my boys really didn't get into like i thought they would. my boys like sally too just cause i can actually point a carerra out on the street...anyone know what kind of car Lightning was????

Also, i didn't think about it until much later, but the plot similarities with Cars and Doc Hollywood are so prevalent that i think Cars should get sued for some sort of plagiarism.

Anyway, it's been a couple of weeks, and my kids can't remember a single character's name

Lightning was a 'made up race car' according to Pixar. There were a few made up cars in the movie. I found it odd that the main character was made up.

I think the obvious ones were...

Schumaker
Paul Newman
Richard Petty
Darrell Waltrip

I'll have to think of the others and post them later

Dammit, I knew that Dale Jr and Mario were in it. Heck, Dale's character even looked like his car.

I didn't realize that Click and Clack were in it though.

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.
