I am watching George Lucas CGI attempt to make Han Solo more of a white hat. How, HOW could Greedo miss from four feet? I frame by framed it(Am I a dork or what? ) The pistol is not even aimed at Solo and he misses by a foot!

First I geek out, then I go make a hammer form for my radio hole cover/guage mount. :)
I have some bootlegs form the original Laserdiscs, they really are better for those of us old enough to have watched the movie(repeatedly) at the twin theater in Crabtree Mall (Yes, there once was a theater there, and Empire Strikes Back was at the North Hills Twin. Remember twin theaters, back when you could not hear the other movie(s), it was on a screen bigger than the one in your house, and they played for more than three weeks?)

If you want to geek out... I HAVE the original Laserdiscs. Just don't have a player anymore.

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

For total Geekness, I think Adam has the movies on VHS, laserdisc, and DVD. Plus he CAN, or at least could recently, play the Laserdiscs and the DVD but not the VHS!

I can't say much though. I have 2 copies of each on VHS, the DVDs and I'm planning on buying the original theater cuts when they are released on DVD this fall. And them I'm sure that there will be a box set with all 6 episodes plus alot of bonus material included, so I'll have to get that.

Oh yea, I also have Darth Tater and the Spud Trooper on my TV with Artoo-Potatoo on order.

I guess I'm a geek also.

I've got all the Star Wars on VHS, Laserdisc, and DVD. I can still play all formats in my theater, too.

I actually have Smokey and the Bandit on VHS, Laserdisc, DVD, and Select-a-vision. Used to have a Beta copy somewhere, but I can't find it. Never had a Beta player, though, and don't have a Select-a-vision player, either. Star Wars is good, but Smokey is by far the best movie ever created. :)

The first film played for over 100 weeks at a twin theater in Winston-Salem where I grew up. I saw it about week 20 after the crowds died down a little bit. I was old enough to drive there myself.

I just never becames obsessed with the film. :brow:

BTW I prefered Mad Max to the Road Warrior.

In looks yes, but in "functionality" (which I'm not so sure Mad Max's could be called functional) Mad Max's car is better. Mad Max FTW!!!11!

Mad Max's car *is* a Ford, which makes it cooler than the Pontiac a priori.

Only in a Ford would the driver have to turn the blower on!
